Rich Dad Poor Dad is the book that started it all for me! Totally changed the way I viewed money. After reading you'll be wishing for your own Rich Dad.

The Cash Flow Quadrant is sort of the 2nd part to Rich Dad Poor Dad. It breaks down the attitudes, behaviors, and makeups of the 4 groups in the Cash Flow Quadrant: Employees, Self Employed, Business Owners, and Investors. There's even a board game that shows how the principals work on micro-scale. Check it out and see where you fit in on Kiyosaki's quadrant!

The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone is a great motivational piece. All though its geared towards sales professionals, the tips and practices can prove to be invaluable to any profession or industry! If you really want some motivation, I suggest listening to the audio-book narrated by Grant himself.

The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Carlson is a collection of parables about a few men living in ancient Babylon who apply the 5 Rules of Gold to end the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck and never getting a head. This one is definitely a great read!!

The Alchemist is about a young shepherd trying to reach his dream of finding treasure beneath the Great Pyramids. Another parable worth reading. Quick and easy read. Found it after watching a Will Smith interview. Check it out!

This is one suggested to me by one of my close friends. Scrappy is collection of stories and experiences where successful individuals got gutsy and came up with out-of-the-ordinary solutions to their problems. Definitely a great motivator and an easy read.

Money Master the Game is great book for those looking for different ways to invest their money or business owners looking to set up plans to manage their employee's retirement funds.

The Secret was definitely a weird one for me. This book outlines The Law of Attraction with stories and examples. If you can get pass the law itself at least you can absorb the teachings of gratitude and giving in creating a positive life. Also think about how the teachings of reflection and trust relate your religion's philosophy of prayer and faith.

This is a suggestion from my mentor (not sure he's aware of his title). The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People will definitely change your life. A big focus of this book are the nuances and aspects of relationships between people. A must read for managers, employees, married couples, soon-to-be married couples, business owners, pastors, parents... basically if you identify as a human READ THIS BOOK.

Same mentor suggested I read this one as well. The Millionaire Next Door written by Thomas Stanley and William Danko summarize their years of studies on America's wealthy. This book outlines the behaviors and buying patterns of everyday millionaires (The Prodigious Accumulators of Wealth) and the Jones' (the under accumulators of wealth). Definitely a great read if you plan on becoming a millionaire instead of looking like one!

How to Win Friends and Influence People written by Dale Carnegie is another great book on intra-personal relationships. If you're a sales professional and haven't read this book you're already way behind. Let's face it, a good majority of professions require some bit of sales skill. Also a good choice for someone dealing with a difficult boss, spouse, child, friend, etc. Pick it up!

By far one of my favorites. In The Obstacle is the Way, Ryan Holiday convinces us to acknowledge the futility of viewing "negative events" as bad luck or as the universe out to get us. Instead we should view these event as things that happened, which can never be changed, and to find the opportunity in the struggle. Stories of historically great men and teachings of the stoic philosophers show us that The Obstacle is the Way...
